We’re frustrated, VERY frustrated!
You see, every time we post a new post to the blog, we make it a point to find five or six blog sites that we can comment on and bookmark along with our new post.
If you’ve been reading this blog for long, you can see we are not posting daily or weekly and truthfully we just hate this!
We love to post tactics, and share the things that’s worked for us so you can succeed without having to pay ten bucks just to make eleven.
Unfortunately it takes us longer than expected to do our marketing for our posts and that’s what got us backed up and frustrated.
Commenting on other blogs is something we consider and call a free marketing money tactic.
When you choose other blogs in your same topic to comment on two things happen for you.
One, you not only get the opportunity to leave a link from your site and get a one-way link (one link going to your site from the site you placed your link on) pointing to you, you also get higher ranking chances in the search engines when you comment on sites that have high page rank in Google.
With a high page rank your website will show up higher in the search engines under the organic searches, and by putting your links on websites with high page rank you’re giving your ranking chances some powerful “juice”.
Currently, we are spending way to much time looking for blogs that we can comment on that are written by our community – African American women to be specific.
We are finding other blogs that we can comment on related to our niche, but only a few by our community.
So, where’s the best place to search when looking for African American women bloggers on the net?
Google’s blog search engine is one of the tools we use for our online blog search; as well as an online blog directory called “Top Sista Sites“. This directory offers the top 100 websites and blogs by African American women, a quick Google search will take you straight to this directory.
While you’re at it, Google “Tribute To Black Women“, “Black Women Blog” and “Msoyonline” to find more African American women bloggers on the net.
We started a new search today for blogs to comment on and ran across a site called Sassy Women of Color. Very interesting and exciting!
Here is a community of African American women writers between the ages of early twenties to early thirties consisting of recent college graduate or grad school graduates who are said to be “well on their way to greatness but are caught in an in-between-period”.
What’s great about the site is that if you’re a Sassy Woman interested in adding your sassy advice, they’re looking for like-minded women to help each other by providing advice on networking, finance, fashion, dating and all that is SASSY!
Why is commenting or writing for the Sassy Women of Color such a great free money tactic?
- You get to network and provide advice to a new community of like-minded women, and
- You get to utilize the leverage of the Sassy Women of Color blogging community to brand your name.
When you truly offer sound advice/comments, with no holds barred, your opportunity to make friends, business partners, and even help someone in your area of expertise to reach the greatness they are destined to reach, is much greater.
Posting in the Sassy Women of Color community will brand your name and writing among many other benefits.
Many online entrepreneurs today believe the search engines will get them all the exposure they need, and for some this is true. But when the search engines are not spilling over with like-minded individuals in your community, your brand becomes the magnet that draws the bees to the honey.
Becoming an author of this blog community will cause others who read to be interested in your writing and look you up and follow you where ever you are on the web.
When you join this community and write good quality information that is useful, Sassy Women of Color can’t help but be the site to reference when searching for women in our blogging community.
Of course this isn’t the only blogging community for us, but it’s a start and step into the right direction.
Maybe you were frustrated in your blog search (like we were) and could benefit from the Sassy Women of Color community. If so head over there now and click join to send your email request to Eva and start adding your Sassyness to the mix.
